Your child will:
- Read, write, count, compare and sequence numbers up to 1,000
- Identify place value to the thousands; representing numbers in various forms including standard form, word form, using place value blocks and expanded form
- Represent quantities in multiple ways (e.g., 36 = 18 + 18 = 14 + 14 + 8)
- Solve a variety of word problems using different strategies
- Know addition and subtraction facts to 20
- Mentally add or subtract any two-digit numbers
- Add and subtract three-digit numbers with and without regrouping
- Tell and write time to the nearest 5 minutes using a.m. and p.m. on both analog and digital clocks
- Count, add, and subtract money using dollar and cent symbols and decimal point in money word problems
- Collect, sort, and interpret data in various graphs
- Describe plane figures and 3-D shapes with different attributes (vertices, side, angles, faces etc. )
- Divide shapes in halves, thirds and fourths; identifying one-half, one-third and one-fourth, and learn about fractions of a set
- Measure to the nearest inch and centimeter
- Representing multiplication and repeated addition using multiplication arrays
- Practice multiplication facts 2's, 5's and 10's
